Money is about more than cash, cards and bank accounts. Money is about emotions, moods and relationships.
Get Set builds on Made of Money's experience of delivering financial well-being workshops to parents for over a decade.
THIS IS JUST THE START FOR THEM. THERE WILL BE A LONG TERM IMPACT BECAUSE I’M GIVING THEM THE SKILLS TO MANAGE MONEY.

About Get Set
Get Set is a Money Advice Service funded project run by the charity Quaker Social Action. The pilot aims to evaluate the impact of a blend of individual and group support on the financial knowledge, confidence and behaviour of parents of children aged 7-11, and the children themselves.
Get Set will:
Explore the relationship we all have with money
- Provide practical strategies, tools and online activities parents can use with their children
- Allow parents space to tackle their own unique circumstances
How will it work?
The project will include:
- Three one to one coaching sessions where parents can look at their individual lives and take action to achieve their personal financial goals, plans and ambitions.
- Four group sessions that use discussion, reflection and peer-to-peer support to help parents become more aware of their own behaviour around money and how it might impact on their children.
Parents will be able to access a host of online activities to do at home with their children. These include looking at adverts and using online budgeting apps, or spotting marketing techniques when out at the supermarket.
